    Rhapsody in Blue is a 1924 musical composition by American composer George Gershwin for solo piano and jazz band, which combines elements of classical music with jazz influences. In the above video, it is animated by Walt Disney Studios in Fantasia 2000.

    Set during a period of economic distress in New York City, it follows four individuals in the struggles of everyday life. A series of coincidences and the magic of the city make each of their dreams come true. The director, Eric Goldberg, comments:"How people of such diverse backgrounds affect one another when they live so closely together really interested me. We devised a story where they all help each other achieve their goals -- without ever realising that they're helping one another."
