Underneath the Christmas Tree - A Seasonal Spectacular!

This year's whole-school concert was just as spectacular as the name might suggest. Featuring fantastic performances from all three BIS campuses, the show brought a festive feeling to all of those watching and performing. This event brought together around 400 students of different ages to perform and the concert ended with a rousing finale of 'Jolly Old Saint Nick', with all of these students performing together on stage. 

Well done to all of our amazing BIS musicians for making this a truly memorable event!

Cello Duet

On Sunday, at the Saimuse concert, our very own Yu Gyeong Kang from Year 9 performed in a duet with Hee Song Do from the European International School. Together they played the 2 Cellos Concerto in G minor by Vivaldi. Have a look below to see an excerpt of their fabulous performance.

AP2 Choir and Orchestra at the Saimuse Concert 2017

 

On Sunday 5 November musicians from the AP2 Choir and Orchestra performed two pieces in front of a packed audience at the HCMC Conservatory of Music. Verdi's 'Anvil Chorus' and Coldplay's 'Fix You' were well received by both students and parents and allowed for our musicians to shine. ABRSM High Scorers' Concert

On Saturday 9^th September at 19.00, BIS will be proudly hosted the 7th Annual ABRSM High Scorers’ Concert in the auditorium.  This concert serves as  a showcase for the top performing students from the June practical instrumental exam session.

The top 30 scoring students have been invited to perform their favourite piece from their recent exam in an informal concert setting.

The concert this year will feature performances on instruments including piano, violin, cello, and double bass.  Pieces ranged from grade 1 right the way through to grade 8, the highest regular exam level, and also an ABRSM diploma student.

Many BIS students are among the outstanding performers In this years’ exams, including Sanny Wu (11H), John Lee (9B), Anya Chakrabarty (7N) Harry Park (7V), Naomi Martin (9I), Caitlin Chua (5S), Tadala Nkhoma (6I) and others.
