Beethoven's 5th Symphony: Juilliard Curriculum
Today our year 6 classes have been learning about the first movement of Beethoven's most famous and epic symphony: the 5th. We have been discussing Italian terms like crescendo, forte and piano, and have imitated gradual and sudden crescendos while using excerpts from the music.

Feeling the Blues - Year 6 AP1
The Year 6 musicians at AP1 have been looking at one of the Juilliard Creative Classroom's set works by Thelonious Monk called 'Blue Monk'. Today in class we compared and contrasted this to 'Blues Before Sunrise' covered by Muddy Waters and then had a go at playing our own blues music in an ensemble.
